e Mas du Lac “a certain state of mind” that’s part of a lifelong journey. For Martine, welcoming people is a real choice… the joy of meeting, sharing and trusting… Welcoming people without knowing anything about them except that, whatever their age, nationality, social background or life experience, they are welcome… mixing people to foster harmonious relationships…

Lifestyle choices

For your comfort and well-being at night, we offer very comfortable bedding, linen or cotton sateen sheets from Maison Ventilo, light blankets, Mohair from Le Moulin in the Drôme, natural and refined products from the Martin de Candre artisanal soap factory in the Loire Valley, Egyptian lamps from Affaires Étrangères in Uzès… We use organic cleaning products for both the linen and the home.

The guest table

Organic, family-style, local cuisine

For meals, the crockery is most often that traditional to Provence, in glazed earth from the Poterie de Cliousclat in the Drôme… and the food, by choice of life, essentially organic products, in season if possible, from local agriculture for fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread… olive oil from the property and wine from the Caveau de l’Aqueduc (from the Pont du Gard) which cultivates the small vineyard of Mas Dulac…

Essential values

Participating in a quest for social harmony and, as a matter of the utmost urgency, a respectful relationship with nature – that’s the spirit of the place…
…that of Terra Madre, Slowfood, Terre et Humanisme led by Pierre Rabhi, Jean-Marie Pelt, Pierre Lieutaghi… all concerned with philosophy and ecology… like Armand Petitjean, a faithful friend and precursor in this field who, with Edgar Morin and Teddy Goldsmith, created Ecoropa, the magazine Transversales Sciences Culture, L’Écologiste…

Participating in a quest for social harmony and, as a matter of the utmost urgency, a respectful relationship with nature – that’s the spirit of the place…

Everyday happiness, rejuvenation, the poetry of life, beauty and nostalgia, so well expressed by Gaston Bachelard…

a whole imaginary world expresses itself through a thousand objects “sheltered” and loved…
back into everyday life :

old patinas of abandoned furniture, relegated tools, neglected pottery…

and come back to life in a poetic tour of old-fashioned pottery from Provence and Languedoc…

The poetry of everyday life is also the fire, St. John’s fire, but above all the fireplace, at the heart of the house… a dreamlike house, it makes you dream, it comforts…

For almost thirty years Martine has lived in the heart of Uzès in her “passion house”, the hôtel particulier, Chambon de la Tour and now in her “happiness house”…

in the countryside, at Mas Dulac.
A return to essential values… another stage of life.
